DR. DANIEL SLAYBAUGH
Dr. Slaybaugh graduated from The University of Florida College of Dentistry in 2000. He then completed a one-year Advances Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) program in St. Petersburg, Florida. While in his residency he joined the Army Reserves and served as a dentist for seven years while simultaneously beginning private practice in 2001. Dr, Slaybaugh strives for a no pressure environment for patients to experience a high level of care in a family environment. Pride is taken in the fact that his team averages over 13 years of teamwork at his practice.
Dr. Slaybaugh and his wife Sally were married in 2000 and they have two amazing, beautiful daughters Lauren and Jamie. A loyal Gators and Bucs fan, Dr. Slaybaugh also enjoys swimming, poker and golf even while not being particularly good at any of them.
DENISE FRANTZ
Denise has enjoyed being in the dental field for many years. She is happy to answer your questions about treatment and help you coordinate appointments. She looks forward to coming to work each day knowing the commitment of this outstanding team to provide a positive experience for every patient! In her free time Denise enjoys spending time with her six grandchildren (here in Florida and in Idaho and Colorado).
JOANNE NANOS
Joanne is 1991 graduate of the University of South Florida. Her degree is in International Studies. She is enthusiastic and fun and enjoys keeping the office calendar and schedule running smoothly. She joined the practice in 2005 and is one of the first smiling faces you see as you enter Dr. Slaybaugh’s office. She feels privileged being with the practice for almost 20 years serving as appointment & insurance coordinator while helping patients stay on track to achieve and maintain excellent dental health. When she is not at work, she is happily tending to her mini-zoo at home with her wonderful husband and beautiful step-daughter.
MICHELE HOAG
Michele has been a crucial part of Dr. Slaybaugh’s team since 2001. She has more than 30 years of dental experience and is one of the most skillful and knowledgeable dental assistants you will ever meet. Michele’s favorite part of her job is seeing patient’s confidence soar after their smile is restored. She grew up in Safety Harbor and has been happily married for 31 years. Michele and her husband have two children and two grandchildren. She spends time with them every chance she gets! Another favorite pastime is traveling to new places. Michele is also a talented photographer and many of her photos adorn the walls and computer screensavers in our office.
SUE MACKINTOSH
In Argentina, Sue was a practicing endodontist. After her move to the States, she became a dental assistant. Sue’s experience, expertise, and upbeat personality have made her an indispensable part of Dr. Slaybaugh’s team for more than 10 years. Sue has a passion for golf and when not here in the dental office she can be found on the golf course.
ANDREA SCHMIDT CRDH
Andi was born and raised in Clearwater, earning her Dental Hygiene degree at SPC in 2012, as well as her Certification for Local Anesthetic Administration in 2013. She has been with Slaybaugh Dental since 2016. Andi is fun and compassionate in making her patients feel comfortable. Always making sure patients enjoy their visits to our office is her top priority. She and her husband, Rich, have 2 sons together, Ryan and Nathan. Together they love spending time playing baseball with their boys along with boating and fishing. Enjoying the beach is another favorite of her family.

Bonding
Bonding is the application of a tooth-colored composite resin (plastic) to repair a decayed, chipped, fractured, discolored tooth, to make teeth appear longer, and as a cosmetic alternative to amalgam fillings. Bonding can be done in a single visit to your dentist.
Crowns and Bridges
Both crowns and most bridges are fixed prosthetic devices. Unlike removable devices such as dentures, which you can take out and clean daily, crowns and bridges are cemented onto existing teeth or implants, and can only be removed by a dentist.
Cosmetic Dentistry
Cosmetic dentistry is generally used to refer to any dental work that improves the appearance of a person’s teeth, gums and/or bite. It primarily focuses on improvement of dental aesthetics including color, position, shape, size, alignment and overall smile appearance.

Scaling and Root Planning
Scaling and root planing, otherwise known as conventional periodontal therapy, non-surgical periodontal therapy, or deep cleaning, is the process of removing or eliminating the etiologic agents – dental plaque, its products, and calculus – which cause inflammation. This inflammation can be destructive to bone and supporting tissues of the teeth.
Sealants
Dental sealant is a thin, plastic coating painted on the chewing surfaces of teeth — usually the back teeth (the premolars and molars) — to prevent tooth decay. The sealant quickly bonds into the depressions and grooves of the teeth, forming a protective shield over the enamel of each tooth.
