Comprehensive Services

Bonding

Bonding is the application of a tooth-colored composite resin (plastic) to repair a decayed, chipped, fractured, discolored tooth, to make teeth appear longer, and as a cosmetic alternative to amalgam fillings. Bonding can be done in a single visit to your dentist.

Crowns and Bridges

Both crowns and most bridges are fixed prosthetic devices. Unlike removable devices such as dentures, which you can take out and clean daily, crowns and bridges are cemented onto existing teeth or implants, and can only be removed by a dentist.

Cosmetic Dentistry

Cosmetic dentistry is generally used to refer to any dental work that improves the appearance of a person’s teeth, gums and/or bite. It primarily focuses on improvement of dental aesthetics including color, position, shape, size, alignment and overall smile appearance.

Cosmetic Fillings

A filling is something that most people will have undergone at some point in their lives. They are a form of treatment for tooth decay or to restore a damaged tooth. The most popular type of filling is the silver amalgam filling.

Dentures and Partials

A partial denture may have a metal framework and clasps that connect to your teeth, or they can have other connectors that are more natural looking.

Extractions

An extraction means to have a tooth removed, usually because of disease, trauma or crowding. While usually a last resort, extractions are sometimes necessary and Dr. Slaybaugh will do all that he can to make this a comfortable experience.

Implant Restorations

Dr. Slaybaugh is part of a team of dentists to help restore missing teeth with implants and the restorations to replace the missing teeth. Dr. Slaybaugh works with numerous specialists to help achieve the best result possible.

Scaling and Root Planning

Scaling and root planing, otherwise known as conventional periodontal therapy, non-surgical periodontal therapy, or deep cleaning, is the process of removing or eliminating the etiologic agents – dental plaque, its products, and calculus – which cause inflammation. This inflammation can be destructive to bone and supporting tissues of the teeth.

Sealants

Dental sealant is a thin, plastic coating painted on the chewing surfaces of teeth — usually the back teeth (the premolars and molars) — to prevent tooth decay. The sealant quickly bonds into the depressions and grooves of the teeth, forming a protective shield over the enamel of each tooth.

Veneers

Veneers are ultra-thin shells of ceramic (porcelain) or a composite resin material, which are bonded to the front of teeth. This procedure can be the ideal choice for improving the appearance of the front teeth.

Tooth Whitening

There are many teeth whitening systems and products including whitening toothpastes, over-the-counter gels, rinses, strips, trays, and whitening products obtained from a dentist. Teeth whitening is ideal for people who have healthy, unrestored teeth (no fillings) and gums.

Root Canal Therapy

Root canal treatment is an often straightforward procedure to relieve dental pain and save your teeth.During root canal treatment, we carefully removes the pulp inside the tooth, cleans, disinfects and shapes the root canals, and places a filling to seal the space.

That’s just a little about us. There’s plenty more!
